Para La Raza Workshop at 3rd Annual Youth Summit

June Jordan students facilitated a workshop at the Love is Resistance Youth Summit called "Para La Raza".

Youth got to battle (paint with), artists Nancy Pili of Trust Your Struggle and JOKER of ICP. Then students from La Raza Unida, lead a mural theme brainstorm and got to head outside to practice their can control.

Principal's Message to JJSE Community 2019

After 13 years in the June Jordan School for Equity community and 17 years as an educator, my family and I have made an important decision to follow a long-time dream to move abroad. This summer, we will be packing up and moving to the island-nation of Taiwan. This move is an exciting one but also brings about grief and sadness as June Jordan’s community has been a big part of my life for the past two decades.

Save the date - 2/14/19 - Youth Summit!

Over the last two years, 600 elementary to high school students from across the City came to June Jordan to discuss topics that are important to them.

The topics have ranged from police reform, to gender equality, to immigration reform.

We have had school board members, scholars, Former Mayor Ed Lee, and SFPD police chief, just to name of few of the participants.
