2/18 - 2/22 Week 25 Blast for Educators

Our 3rd annual Youth Summit was a wonderful event. So many students & adults collaborated to ensure the event was successful. I’m thankful to be a part of a community that recognizes the importance of the voice of our youth and works to illuminate it through such a powerful event.

Also, we are mid way through Black History Month and our BSU Town Hall will take place this Friday during advisory. There are so many people that came before us who lost their lives in an attempt to change the world so we all could have a better tomorrow. I am looking forward to intentionally remembering the sacrifices of those that came before us and to think about the sacrifices we can make to continue to march down the path carved out by our ancestors.

Finally, a huge thank you to our entire community for all of your hard work. Every month there are so many activities, trips and events, clubs etc. that people work extremely hard to put on for our school community. There is so much that happens behind the scenes that people may not always see so I would like to acknowledge the work that goes into organizing and executing these experiences for our community.
