Ms. Gail Gonzalez Coloyan

About

Ms. Gonzalez Coloyan teaches 9th and 10th grade Mathematics  (Algebra and Geometry).  Ms GC, as the students refer to her, is a product of a bay area public high school.  She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration at UC Berkeley.  Prior to teaching, Ms. GC worked as a Software Engineer, Consultant, and Project Manager at a small start-up as well as big high tech firms.  After 8 years in the corporate world, Ms. GC decided to pursue her passion in teaching, so she attended graduate school at Stanford University, where she earned her Masters and Credentials in teaching Mathematics.  She is now living her dream as a math teacher at June Jordan School for Equity.

When Ms. GC is not teaching or working with her students, she spends her time with her three daughters or running her family's Ceramic Painting Studio in Daly City (www.dalycity.colormemine.com).  Whenever she finds free time, she also loves to dance (hip hop, jazz, Polynesian and salsa), to explore the world by traveling with her family, and to run in marathons and triathlons.
